Hi there, thanks for dropping by,

Since the start of the pandemic like everyone, I've juggled lack of childcare and work, and my mini-colleague particularly liked to pay little visits on my Zoom calls.

So I had a brainwave, rather than try and fight off her natural curiosity into my work, together we have created a small business that involved her throughout. It has taught her how to start up and run a business - with a little help from her mama! My job is helping small businesses as a consultant, so why not teach the fundamentals to my 4-year-old.

The idea for 'The Happy Craft Box' came to me as I noticed when I talked to my daughter about her feelings whilst doing art, craft and play, it helped her process and understand what was going on and got her to open up more and more.

As lots of little one's lives have been thrown into complete upheaval in the midst of these uncertain times I knew the craft activities would also help other children.

So together we launched this little business The Happy Craft Box, our craft wellbeing boxes are for children aged 3-13, encouraging resilient, mindful and happy children - and help children adapt to change through art, craft and mindfulness. Which is especially important in this global pandemic as we need to protect our children's mental health.

I have a background in the arts and a natural interest in psychology, art and play therapy, yoga and meditation. My daughter immerses herself in art, craft (and inventing!) - so we make a perfect team.

Since launching the business in March 2020 with my mini co-founder, we have created and dispatched thousands of craft boxes across the UK, the feedback and support we have had so far has been incredible.

We were been featured in the national press and had a full page spread in The Telegraph Stella magazine.

We even caught the eye of UK Ambassador of creative small businesses Holly Tucker MBE founder of Not On The High Street as she shared our business to her 65,000 community.

My daughter and I are blown away with the support of The Happy Craft Box and it's an honour to help my little daughter learn about running a business and help children cope with change and protect their mental health in these crazy times.

We hope your little ones enjoy their craft box!
